VeloApply Trust & Security Center
This page summarises how we protect your data. For the complete detail on what we collect, how it is handled and stored, and who it is shared with, read the full Privacy Policy.
At VeloApply, we believe job search automation must put candidate control, data privacy, and career safety first. Here is how we protect your information and safeguard your recruiter reputation.
1. Zero Unapproved Submissions
Unlike bulk auto-apply bots that spam generic resumes to hundreds of listings, VeloApply always pauses for your explicit review. You inspect every tailored resume draft, cover letter, and fit score before anything is submitted to an employer portal.
2. Chrome Extension Permissions & Data Isolation
Our browser extension reads application form fields on supported employer sites to help fill your details. Review each permission in the Chrome Web Store listing. We do not ask you to provide your employer-site password to VeloApply.
3. Data Ownership & Immediate Deletion
You retain complete ownership of your uploaded CVs, generated cover letters, and work history. You can export or permanently delete your account data at any time from your account settings.
4. Verified Support & Founder Accountability
VeloApply was built by HR and recruitment specialist Haseeb Kamran, who has helped job seekers apply smarter. Have a security question or need help? Contact us directly at info@veloapply.com.
5. What we do not do with your data
Some of the most useful things to know are the things that never happen. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your resume or job search to recruiters, agencies or data brokers. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and there are no ads in the product. Your applications are not shared with other users, and nothing you save is published anywhere public.
We also do not use your information to make decisions about your creditworthiness, and we do not run background checks on you.
6. Where your information actually lives
Your profile is stored in two places for two different reasons. A copy sits in your own browser so the extension can fill forms quickly without waiting on a server, and a copy sits in our database so your profile follows you when you sign in on another device.
When you ask for AI tailoring, the relevant parts of your profile and the job description are sent to our AI provider to produce the draft, and the result comes back to you. Other service providers help with authentication, hosting, analytics, and payments as described in the Privacy Policy. The privacy policy names every processor we rely on, including hosting, authentication, payments and analytics.
7. Why the review step is a safety feature, not a limitation
Applications carry answers that matter legally, including work authorization, sponsorship, background questions and equal opportunity fields. An automated tool that guesses those and submits them can misrepresent you without your knowledge, and you will only find out when a recruiter raises it.
That is the reason VeloApply stops before the submit button on every plan, including paid ones. Drafted answers are highlighted so you can see exactly what the AI produced rather than hunting for it. If your profile does not support an answer, the tool leaves the field for you instead of inventing something.
8. How to remove your data
You can ask for your account and stored data to be deleted at any time by emailing us from the address on your account. Removing the extension clears what is stored in your browser. Deletion requests cover the server-side copy as well, and we confirm once it is done.
9. If you find a security problem
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, email info@veloapply.com with enough detail to reproduce it. We would rather hear about it directly and fix it quickly than have it sit unreported. Please do not test in a way that affects other users' data.
